Bijoy Gopal Nandi Memorial Trust to conduct tennis, football

The Bijoy Gopal Nandi Memorial Trust will be conducting clinics next month to promote tennis and football in three cities - Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.

Reputed coaches will be roped in to train and guide youngsters in the twin popular sports.

Reputed international coaches will be present at these clinics to provide guidance and training to youngsters. They include Gustavo Ordonez - former ATP player from Spain; Jordi Munoz Abreo - Venezuelan Davis Cupper; Tati Bua - Federation Cup player from Argentina and WTA player; Noel Urena Molina - European League champion and fitness coach and Sebastian Hererra - former FC Barcelona and Espanyol player, a media release issued here said.
 

"This would be a great opportunity to train with international circuit players and former ATP players who can guide them (the participants)," said Archana Burman, General Secretary of the Bijoy Gopal Nandi Memorial Trust.

The clinic in Mumbai will be held at the Practennis centre in Andheri from September 11 to 16. The clinics in Kolkata and Delhi will be held from September 4 to 9 and September 18 to 22, respectively.

Burman told PTI the trust will be looking at holding clinics at cities beyond the three metropolises and confirmed that the coaches will remain the same for one year.
