Bikaner today mourned the death of its prominent son and noted cartoonist Sudhir Tailang.
Tailang, 56, died in Delhi today due to brain cancer.
He was born in Bikaner and spent his childhood here.

Tailang was closely associated with local people and had raised several issues pertaining to the district through his cartoons, his nephew Amit Goswami said.
"He had a long association with people here and flagged the problems of Bikaner through cartoon, be it the problem of railway crossings or air connectivity," he said.
Locals also expressed their grief over the demise of Tailang.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje condoled the death of Tailang and said he highlighted the problems of the common man through his satirical cartoons.
"His contribution in popularising the art of making cartoon would always be remembered," she said.
