Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today said the CPI(M)-led LDF government would bring in legislation to regulate the alleged arms training in places of worships in the state.

Replying during the Question Hour in the Assembly, he said the places of worship should be the centres of faithfuls and the government would take stern action if any kind of arms training there comes to its notice.

"The government is aware that arms training is going on in some of the places of worships in the state. Stern action will be taken if it is brought to our notice. The government will bring legislation to regulate such practises," he said.

"Places of worships including should become the centres of faithfuls. But, unfortunately, a situation has come to such an extent that devotees can not even go to some of such places in the state," Vijayan said.

Alleging that RSS does not believe in democratic principles, the Chief Minister added that many former activists, who quit the saffron outfit, had revealed that torture camps to punish those who raise voice against it are functioning in many places of the state.

He said the recent revelation by a former RSS activist in this regard in the state capital was a clear example for this. The government would take stern action against this also, he added.
