Rest of India captain Harbhajan Singh today lauded Karnataka allrounder Stuart Binny for virtually taking the game away from his team by scoring a sparkling unbeaten century.

"Credit must go to Binny for the manner in which he batted. He took the game away from us," he told reporters at the end of the second day's play of the Irani Trophy match at Chinnaswamy stadium here.

Harbhajan said Binny, who cracked an unbeaten 115, played a waiting game to see off the second new ball and then launched an attack.

"He also played some cracking shots off the new ball," he added.

Harbhajan said the day was disappointing for his boys as the ball didn't swing as it did to Karnataka bowlers on the first day.

The senior off-spinner said that his bowlers did their best but the fielding could have been better.

"Even I misfielded as one which went through the legs for a boundary. I lost the ball," he said.

Asked for not bringing himself on early in the day, Harbhajan said there was nothing in the pitch for spinners and hence used seamers more.

"We wanted to use seamers when the ball was hard. Wicket had too much to offer for seamers but unfortunately we didn't get that many wickets. And whether I would have come to bowl earlier - there is hardly anything for spinners on this wicket," he said.

Harbhajan said apart from one over in which he conceded 14 runs, he was happy with his bowling. "I bowled pretty well. I am quite happy with the way I bowled apart from one over before tea when I went for 13-14 runs," he said.

Harbhajan finished the day with bowling figures of one 56 in 14 overs with the wicket of Ganesh Sathish.
