Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today announced that bio-medical academies would be opened in all medical colleges and hospitals in the state to offer skilled training programmes to qualified youths.
An MoU was today signed in this regard between the state Medical and Health Department and Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC) in presence of the chief minister at Jhalawar, her home constituency.
In the first step, these bio-medical academies would be set up in Kota and Jhalawar's medical colleges and hospitals, and courses like dialysis, radiation, and nursing training would begin, she said.

Besides, patients would get medical care at a cheaper rate, quoting Raje, an official said here.
Ten dialysis machines would be annexed with each academy in which 800 patients can be provided with dialysis treatment every month in various wards, she said.
Raje in her budget speech for the FY 2015-16 had announced to set up such bio-medical academies.
