Union minister Birender Singh today cautioned the people of Haryana against "ill designs" of those who have been trying to "disrupt" the harmony of the state on the basis of caste.
He urged the people to unite against such forces.
The Steel Minister was speaking at a function in Hisar where he invited the people for the 'gaurav rally' to be held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Jind, on September 11.

He said the rally would be a platform to strengthen the atmosphere of harmony in the state.
"In the rally, the achievements of the last 50 years (of Haryana) and the roadmap for the next 50 would be laid out," he said.
The BJP leader said the state government was working towards raising the economic standard of the people in rural areas by doubling their income, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He claimed Haryana had left behind Punjab and many other states in terms of foodgrains production, industry and sports, among other fields.
With 21 per cent contribution of foodgrains to the central pool, Haryana stands second only to Punjab. One out of every five officers in the Indian Army in 1984 belonged to Punjab, but now this is true for Haryana, he added.
Greeting people on the occasion of Teachers Day and Ganesh Chaturthi, Haryana's Finance Minister Abhimanyu said some Union ministers would attend the 'gaurav rally'.
BJP chief Amit Shah will also be in attendance, he said.
