Birla Sun Life Insurance (BSLI) today launch of BSLI Cancer Shield Plan that aims to provide the confidence of financial security if the need arise.
"Cancer cases are increasingly reflecting an increasing trend in India. Although, medical science has developed new techniques and medicines to cure and manage the disease, the cost of treatment still remains exorbitant and unaffordable for most patients suffering from cancer," Birla Sun Life Insurance MD and CEO Pankaj Razdan said in a release.
BSLI Cancer Shield Plan covers both early and major stages of cancer and provides you a lump sum amount on diagnosis helping you meet the related expenses and financial obligations that come along.

Tata AMC appoints Gopal Agrawal as CIO equities
* Tata Asset Management today said it has appointed Gopal Agrawal as the chief investment officer of equities vertical and Murthy Nagarajan as head of fixed income segment.
In addition to his responsibilities as CIO - Equities, Gopal would lead the fund management and equity research team. He would begin his new role from April 3.
Nagarajan who would manage fixed income funds will also have the additional responsibility of leading the credit research team.
"I am pleased to welcome Gopal and Murthy to the investment team of Tata AMC. They have joined Tata AMC at a pivotal moment for the mutual fund industry in India which has seen explosive growth in 2016-17," Tata AMC CEO and MD R Ganesh said in a statement.

Aricent, Nasscom Foundation to train 5K engineering students * IT company Aricent and Nasscom Foundation have plans to impart technical and soft skills training to 5,000 engineering students in tier 2 and 3 cities to make them employable.
"We expect to train 5,000 engineering students under Arise By Aricent' in 2017-18. In this year we have been able to enrol 3,400 engineering students of which 2700 were able to complete the training," Aricent, Chairman of the CSR Board, Ashwani Lal today said.
He said that last year the programme was launched in eighth semester.
"This year we have started programme in 6 semester and interest is higher," Lal said.
The skills will range from basics like SDLC methodologies, to programming languages like JAVA, and database management languages like SQL, API creation through JDBC, project design, and software testing.
