The "long-pending demand" of Bisalpur water supply scheme for the residents was inaugurated in Amber town here today.
Union Minister of state for Information and Broadcasting RajyavardhanSingh Rathore and Rajasthan Public Health Engineering Department Minister Kiran Maheshwari inaugurated the scheme.
Rathore said that the residents now will not have to drink fluoride and nitrate-affected water.

Maheshwari said that it was long-pending demand of Amer town which was fulfilled today.
"Earlier Amer was supplied water through 21 tube-wells and three open wells. Now after joining Amer with Bisalpur project, they will be provided with additional 10 lakh liters water and by December the residents will get 20 lakh liters water as work on another pipeline is underway," Maheshwari said.
She added that with this scheme, every resident will be provided with 100 liters every day.
Bisalpur dam in Tonk district supplies water to Ajmer and Jaipur.
