A two-year-old bison died yesterday in Van Vihar National Park due to severe injuries it sustained in a fight, said an official.
A Public Relations Officer said that the bison was in an enclosure in Van Vihar which it shared with two other older bisons.
The older bisons were brought from Kanha National Park and Khargone in March 2011, the official said.
He informed that yesterday, the older of the two bisons attacked the two-year-old, grievously injuring him. The bison, born in Van Vihar itself in November 2015, was declared dead on arrival by hospital authorities, he added.
