The dancer duo, Shonali Majumdar (7) and Maraju Sumanth (13), had impressed the judges right from the auditions with their whirlwind salsa moves and emerged as the people's choice tonight at the show's Grand Finale on Colors.
"I was confident about their talent, but the win was unexpected. Last year I had participated in this show with two other kids from my dance academy, but we only became runners up. This year I took it as a challenge," Bivash Chaudhary, the winner duo's trainer, told PTI over the phone from Mumbai.
It was a night for kids altogether as 11-year-old Sufi singer from Sikkim Deep Raj emerged the runner up.
Others competing at the finale were aerial act performers Mukesh and Tanaya, gymnasts Acrobatic Boys, Opera singer Toshan, sand artist Nitish Bharti and performing group Ocean Kids.
The winners took home the grand prize of Rs 50 lakhs and a Maruti Alto. They were handed the winning trophy by guests on the show Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
"The money would be spent on making a good home for Shonali, who comes from a very humble background, and the rest would be fixed for the two kids' future," said Bivash.

Now that they have won 'India's Got Talent', Bivash is planning to go on a world tour with Shonali and Sumanth and create a show around them.
"The kind of dance moves they have done are usually performed by salsa dancers who have been training for years. I think first time in the world we have such young dancers showing such moves. They are so young, that they don't even realise what they have achieved," said Bivash.
