Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today hit out at the BJD government in Odisha accusing it of having failed on all fronts and asked the people to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi for overall development of the state.
"I have come here to give account of the NDA government's activities in the last three years. Representatives are servants of the public. Therefore, we need to give account of the government," Pradhan said while launching party's 'sab ka saath, sab ka bikas' series of programme at Gunupur.
Pradhan said that the Modi government has raised the amount for building pucca houses from Rs 70,000 to Rs 1,30,000. This enhanced amount excluded additional funds for construction of toilets.

"Besides, the Modi government has also launched Sukanya Yojana for girls and made provision of Rs 6,000 for each pregnant woman," he said.
Stating that the people are with Modi because he works for the benefit of the poor, Pradhan urged the people to support the BJP for the overall development of the state as well as the country.
The union minister came down heavily on the 17-year-old Naveen Patnaik government and accused it of failing to give safe drinking water to the people, job to youths and irrigation to agricultural fields.
"Gunupur area is located in the bank of river Bansadhara. However, farmers here face acute problem of water for cultivation," Pradhan said.
