Accusing ruling BJD in Odisha of unleashing terror against its supporters after party president Amit Shah's recent rally here, BJP today claimed its strength would increase 13 fold in the state as people are fed up with corruption and misrule during the Naveen Patnaik rule.

"A frustrated BJD is targeting workers and supporters of BJP after Amit Shah's rally. Those who mobilised people for the rally are terrorised and attacked. Even a woman was killed in Dharmasala," BJP National Secretary and Odisha in-charge, Arun Singh told reporters here.

While a woman was beaten to death at Dharmasala in Jajpur district, others were attacked and grievously injured at Anandpur and Ghatagaon in Keonjhar district and at Vani Vihar here for bringing a large number of supporters to the BJP rally here, he claimed.

Terming these incidents as "shameful", Singh said BJD is indulging in violence as it is shaken due to party leaders getting exposed during CBI probe into chitfund scam and BJP's growing popularity in the state.

The culprits in these attacks are roaming scot-free despite repeated demands for action, he claimed and said BJP would get the violent incidents probed by a fact finding team headed by senior leader Sameer Mohanty and prepare a report.

Singh claimed that BJD's days in Odisha are numbered and BJP would fight against the autocratic rule in a peaceful and democratic manner and ensure that the regional party is wiped out in the next polls.

Claiming also that BJP's popularity in the state is growing fast due to BJD's misrule and the positive impact of Narendra Modi government at the Centre, he said 60 to 70 leaders of BJD and Congress have sent messages expressing their willingness to join BJP and their names would be disclosed shortly.
