Himachal Pradesh BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti today accused Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh of "wasting" three years in office in hatching conspiracies against political opponents and framing them in "false cases".

"During the past three years, the chief minister made malicious statements not only against former BJP chief minister P K Dhumal but also targeted his ministers Kaul Singh and G S Bali, Viplov Thakur, MP and HPCC president Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu and the development of the state and people are suffering," Satti charged in a statement here.

Instead of indulging in "so-called management" to save his chair, Singh should concentrate on development, he said.

Satti said that the report of CAG has cautioned that Himachal Pradesh would land in a debt trap and could be counted among the "failed states" by 2018-19.

Singh has remained the chief minister six times but at present the government is being run allegedly by land, mining, liquor, transfer and forest mafias and if there is any morality left, Singh should resign immediately, Satti said.
