"A delegation of BJP MLAs led by its legislature party leader Hukkum Singh met the Governor at the Raj Bhawan today and submitted a memorandum in this regard", party spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.
The memorandum alleged that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated after the SP came to power, Pathak said.
The memorandum claimed that two months had passed since the formation of the SP government in the state and its "administrative inability and failure were exposed".
The party asserted that by steep hike in petrol price, "the Centre has done gross injustice to the people of the country".
"The BJP Legislature Party condemns the unprecedented and unjust hike and requests the Governor to apprise the Centre about its feelings", the memorandum said.
The memorandum also said that it was a strange coincidence that while on one one hand the ruling party in the state has protested price rise, its supremo attended a function to highlight the achievements of the Centre.
Alleging harassment of farmers across the state, Pathak said the party in its memorandum claimed that the government had failed to take effective steps to resolve the power crisis in the state.
"The government is alleging a scam of Rs 40,000 crore in installation of statues and construction works during the previous regime, but no action has been taken at the ground level", the party said and accused the SP government of hiding the corruption of the previous regime.
"The BJP Legislature Party has requested the Governor that all these points should be included in his address on the opening day of the budget session", Pathak added.
Today's delegation included MLAs Kalraj Mishra, Suresh Kumar Khanna, Radha Mohan Das, Satish Mahana and Bharatendra Singh, he said.
