BJP asks workers to prepare for local bodies elections

BJP today asked its workers to convey welfare schemes of central and state governments to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and prepare for the local bodies elections in the state.

"The future course of action for the party shall be multifaceted and workers should involve in preparation for local bodies elections and mass contact campaign to convey NDA government's various Welfare Schemes and programmes of the state's coalition government", BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma told the party workers here.

On the concluding day of two-day long State Working Committee Meeting at Katra, Jugal said," the coming local bodies elections are a test for the resilience and tenacity of the workers".
 

He further said that the positive results in these elections would enable the party to fully implement its welfare schemes in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The workers have to take to the logical conclusion the mandate of the people by ensuring that public gets benefitted by the people friendly schemes and projects", the BJP MP said.

State General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Kaul informed the members about the future programmes of the party and briefed about setting up of district offices, modernization of the new complex of state office.

People's Conference leader Sajjad Lone also attended one session of the meeting.
