Hitting out at the TMC over its demand for a CBI inquiry into the Vyapam scam, BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh today said there was a need for a similar CBI probe into the "TET scam" involving recruitment of primary teachers.

"Some leaders of TMC and the CM herself have demanded a CBI inquiry into the MP admission scam. They can ask for it as that is their perogative. The fact is that the state government has already called for a CBI investigation. We feel there is a need for a similar CBI inquiry into the TET scam here too," Singh said.

Kailash Vijayvargiya, the newly appointed BJP observer for West Bengal, too held a similar view.

"TMC needs to answer a lot of issues here too and we will seek those answers," he said.

"In the next 2016 Assembly polls, BJP will come to power by defeating all three political rivals - TMC, CPI(M) and Congress," Kailash said.

Meanwhile, Singh welcomed the NIA's taking over of the investigation into the Titagarh train blast from the CID.
