Opposition BJP and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today staged a walkout separately from the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council over law and order issue and non-payment of cane dues.
The issue of law and order was raised by BSP members led by Naseemuddin Siddiqui through adjournment notice demanding a debate during Zero Hour.
The BSP members alleged that there was "jungle raj" in the state as incidents of murder and rape were taking place frequently.

Dissatisfied with the government's reply, the BSP members walked out of the House.
Rejecting the notice Chairman Ganesh Shanker Pandey asked the government to take action against those guilty in incidents cited by the BSP members.
The BJP also raised similar issue through a separate notice and later dissatisfied with the reply of the government staged a walkout.
In another notice the BSP members raised the issue of non-payment of cane dues to the farmers on which the government replied.
Dissatisfied with the reply of the government BSP members walked out of the house.
The chairman while rejecting the notice asked the government to take effective measures for payment of cane dues.
