Addressing the gathering, Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta said a party delegation would meet Deputy Commissioner of Police to demand expeditious probe into the "conspiracy" to hike power tariff on October 17.
"If the action to investigate the case and punish the guilty persons was not initiated, then BJP would stage strong demonstration at Delhi Police Headquarters," he said.
Alleging that the city government had crossed "all the limits of democratic norms", Gupta said "whoever raises voice against, the government was threatening them in many ways."
He said he was also implicated in false cases.
He alleged Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), the government and the power companies were hand in glove.
"The companies were looting thousands of crores by increasing power tariff but the accounts were not being audited deliberately. BJP has lodged a case against power companies, government and the DERC so that an inquiry into the conspiracy can be started and the guilty persons punished," Gupta said.
He also said if BJP comes to power, it would reduce power tariff first and all "anti-people" decisions of Dikshit government would be reviewed and a probe ordered into the "corruption" by this government.
