Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Satypal Singh said here today that people want change and BJP is capable of bringing about that in the country.
"Modi creates waves wherever he goes and the large number of people who attend his rallies show that they expect him to bring about a change," Singh said.
Singh, who resigned as Mumbai Police Commissioner last week to join BJP, said he is impressed with the party's line of thinking and would contest the 2014 Lok Sabha election if the party asked him to do so.

Replying to a query about Congress' decision not to announce Rahul Gandhi's name as its prime ministerial candidate, Singh said "it's the party's internal matter".
The former Mumbai police chief termed politicians in Maharashtra as "mature" and said he did not face any interference from them during his career.
"I did not experience any intereference from political leaders in Maharashtra since they are very mature," Singh said.
