For the second time, a central team of the BJP will visit West Bengal in the next few days to assess the ground situation in the wake of the murder of a party worker two days ago.

The BJP worker, who belonged to a minority community, was killed allegedly by goons of the Trinamool Congress at Illambazar in Birbhum district, triggering protest and condemnation from all quarters of society.

Last week, a BJP central team, led by vice-presidents S S Ahluwalia and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, had visited Sandeshkhali in North 24-Parganas district where a number of party workers were injured in an attack allegedly by Trinamool Congress supporters.

"This is the politics of bloodbath the Trinamool Congress is pursuing. A team of our central leadership led by our party's minority cell chief will visit Bengal within the next few days to assess the ground situation," senior BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said.

He said that the team would submit a report to the party president and would request the National Minority Commission to take stock of the situation following repeated attacks on BJP workers across the state.

State BJP president Rahul Sinha had yesterday alleged that the Trinamool Congress was trying to spark communal tension with the help of a section of the administration in the state to halt the party's rise in the state.

Siddharth Nath Singh today endorsed the statement of Sinha and said that the matter had been brought to the notice of the highest constitutional bodies and agencies of the country.

"I am aware of the ground reality and the situation. It is a matter of grave concern," Singh said, cautioning the TMC not to indulge in communal politics in the state.

"I will like to caution the Trinamool Congress as well as the Congress and CPI(M) not to indulge in communal politics as indulging in such kind of politics will ensure a beffitting reply from the masses," Singh said.
