BJP President Amit Shah on Saturday called on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, who is recuperating at a city hospital after a surgery.

Shah visited Pawar at Breach Candy Hospital here and inquired about his health.

The former union Agriculture Minister underwent a surgery last week after he was brought in an air ambulance from Delhi when he fell at his Janpath residence early this month.

Apart from Shah, Congress leader Digivijay Singh also met Pawar to inquire about his health.

Pawar celebrated his 74th birthday on Friday.

Sources said that the decision on his discharge from hospital will be taken on Monday.
