The committee members would visit the house of Arjun Namasudra, who allegedly committed suicide on June 8, and submit its report within ten days, party sources said.

The committee comprised state vice-presidents Parimal Suklabaidya and Mission Ranjan Das, All India Mahila Morcha Secretary Shipra Goon, Joint Convenor of BJP's Medical Cell Dr Rajdeep Roy and Silchar Block unit President Shantanu Nayak.

The BJP alleged that the state government has failed to resolve the issue of doubtful voters, but the BJP's Central committee has taken the matter seriously and would soon approach the Supreme Court on the 'D' voters issue.

BJP President Nitin Gadkari has formed a three-member committee, comprising Ravi Shankar Prasad, Pinki Anand and Bhupinder Yadav, to review all aspects of the 'D voter issue at the central level.

Namasudra, a 32-year-old resident of the Indo-Bangla border village of Haritikar part-I (Subodh Nagar colony) under Katigorah police station had hanged himself after a case was filed against him in the Foreigners' Tribunal alleging he was a doubtful citizen and was not given the form for voter photo identity card.
