BJP's national general secretary Tarun Chugh today condemned the "murderous attack" on the brother of Punjab cabinet minister Anil Joshi at Tarn Taran area.
Terming the incident as a "blow to the democracy in the state", Chugh in a statement here added that the episode has raised serious questions about the law and order situation.
He noted that the party would not compromise on either the respect or the security of its cadres in Punjab.

He warned officials who were targeting BJP leaders and workers at the behest of those in power.
BJP will definitely act against such officers who were playing a partisan role under the orders of some leaders, he said.
Chugh noted that the party is in the process of preparing a list of properties amassed by such officers which will be forwarded to the Home ministry and the PMO.
Cabinet minister Anil Joshi's brother Rakesh Kumar Raja was allegedly attacked by "gun-wielding" SAD workers outside the SDM office yesterday.
Chief Minister Badal had earlier today constituted an SIT comprising IG Border Range Ishwar Chander and Amritsar Commissioner of Police Jatinder Singh Aulakh to probe the incident.
