BJP today said the loss of life in ceasefire violations by Pakistan was condemnable and the onus of complying with the Ufa joint statement lay with the neighbouring country.
"There is no two ways about it. It is condemnable. Any life lost on the Indian side is unacceptable," BJP secretary Siddharth Nath Singh said.
Singh, however, said India had succeeded in making the Indo-Pak dialogue "terrorism-specific".

Asked about the ceasefire violations, he said the government was seized of the matter and was competent enough to reply the way India needed to reply.
Congress has dubbed as a "historic blunder" the joint statement following talks Prime Minister Narendra Modi had with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharifin Russia.
Attacking the Centre, Congress leader Anand Sharma said the developments after the signing of the joint statement confirms that what was claimed by the government and BJP as a historic breakthrough was a historic blunder.
