Opposition BJP continued their boycott of the budget session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly and staged a protest outside the House today.

Led by party leader Prem Kumar Dhumal, the BJP members sat outside the Assembly and ended their protest only after the House was adjourned for the day.

The 19-day long budget session of the Assembly is concluding tomorrow. It is for the first time that the Opposition has not participated in the session even for a day and the entire session was a one-sided affair.

BJP members disrupted the Governor's address, boycotted the budget speech of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, did not participate in discussions on motion of thanks on Governor's address and budget discussions and did not participate in the proceedings throughout the session.

Chief Minister had said yesterday that he had appealed to the members to return to the house but they did not respond and if they think that "I would go to them crawling, it is not possible".
