Maharashtra BJP chief spokesman Madhav Bhandari Saturday criticised Congress chief Rahul Gandhi for raising allegations in the controversial Rafale deal, days after the supreme court dismissed petitions claiming irregularities in the purchase of 36 fighter aircraft.
Addressing a press conference as part of the BJP's strategy to clear air on the issue, Bhandari demanded that Gandhi apologise to nation for raising allegations on the purchase of the fighter jets.
"Rahul is compromising on the national security by demanding details of the Rafale deal and hence he and leaders of his party should apologise to the country", said Bhandari.
Bhandari said the Congress' demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe is uncalled for.
