BJP demands action against ex-IAS officer

The district unit of BJP today sought stringent action against former IAS officer Christudas Gandhi for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus by making certain remarks against Lord Ram in a discussion on a private TV channel.

In a petition to city Police Commissioner A Amalraj, District BJP President C R Nandakumar alleged that the former bureaucrat's remarks during the TV debate on Tuesday had hurt the sentiments of Hindus and hence he should be immediately arrested.

Similarly, Hindu outfit Bharat Sena petitioned the district administration seeking immediate action against him.
