BJP today demanded a CBI inquiry against Noida Authority's engineer-in-chief Yadav Singh against whom searches were conducted by the Income Tax department.

"IT department and enforcement directorate should conduct an inquiry against Yadav Singh, but to expose his political patronisers, a CBI probe must be conducted," BJP's state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai told reporters here.

"The diary recovered from Yadav Singh has the number of all of his contacts," he added.

He said that Yadav may have been removed from the post, but he has not been suspended yet.

A raid was conducted at the residence of Singh on November 26 whose wife Kusumlata was the director of a company Meenu creations, which manufactures designer clothes.

The major allegation on the company is that it got some plots alloted in Noida by forming bogus share holdings in Kolkata. Later, the shares were offloaded. In this way, those who purchased the shares got plots. All these transactions were made in the last three to four years.
