BJP Kerala unit president Kummanom Rajasekharan today asked the government to order a crime branch probe into the death of a Yuva Morcha leader due to burn injuries.

Yuva Morcha Palakkad district secretary Sajin Raj (30) died of burn injures at the Medical College hospital here yesterday.

He was found laying with severe burn injuries near a car on road at Palamoodu near Attingal police station near here early morning yesterday and succumbed to the injuries later in the day at the hospital.

Stating that there was mystery in the death of the leader, Rajasekharan said a special team of crime branch should probe the incident.

Quoting relatives and friends of the deceased, the BJP leader said there was no reason for Raj to commit suicide and also there was no personal or financial issues that worries the deceased.

Relatives have complaint that police was attempting to treat the case as a matter of suicide.
