Terming as provocative a speech by NC chief Farooq Abdullah, BJP today demanded registration of FIR against him and ban on his contesting the Lok Sabha election.
"Farooq's speech on April 16 at Baramulla Dak Banglow was provocative, unparliamentary, undemocratic, derogatory, inflammatory and full of hatred," BJP state Vice-President and Kashmir in-charge Ramesh Arora told reporters today.
"BJP demands ban on his candidature, seizure of party symbol of NC, registration of FIR and his immediate sacking from the Union ministry for the hate speech," he said.

"The CD of his speech is being sent to the Election Commission and Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, along with a written complaint for necessary action," Arora said.
Farooq, Union minister for new and renewable energy, is contesting from Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
Arora said, "Farooq crossed all limits and indulged in very unsocial comments and utterances, which cannot be expected of a leader of such stature and a person who is holding an important portfolio in the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre."
Arora also condemned a comment of state Congress chief Saifudin Soz in which he had compared Narendra Modi with Hilter.
