The BJP today demanded that the West Bengal government should publish a white paper about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's trip to Singapore to attract investments.

"We demand publication of a white paper by the state government on Mamata Banerjee's Singapore trip. We want to know what the purpose was and how much has been achieved," BJP state President Rahul Sinha said here.

Banerjee yesterday returned here after a five-day visit to Singapore on an invitation from the government of that country.

Earlier Sinha had said that if the state did not reveal the outcome of her visit, then his party would file an RTI query to ascertain the facts.

Describing her first foreign trip after assuming office as positive, Banerjee had said that there was a lot of interest generated in investing in the state while a positive image was communicated to investors.
