The youth wing of BJP today staged demonstration in front of all offices of the Superintendent of Police across the state to protest against violence during BJD's hartal yesterday.
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha workers sat on dharna in front of the SPs' and demanded immediate arrest of those involved in vandalism during the hartal.
"Activists of the ruling party beat up people and misbehaved with women during their protest. Police remained a mute spectator at the instruction of the government," said BJP spokesman Sajan Sharma.

BJD's hartal was called to protest against the steep hike in the price of petrol and diesel despite a slide in crude oil price in the international market.
