"Ram Jethmalani is a senior MP and we all have a lot of respect for him. But as chief spokesperson of the party I would like to say that the party does not agree with his views about the functioning of the organisation. BJP has been most forthright in exposing the corruption in the UPA government," party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

Jethmalani had alleged in his May 23 letter that the "somnolence" in the BJP on attacking the Congress gives the impression that there are skeletons in the party's cupboard. He said he was revolted by incompetence of BJP leaders.

Prasad insisted that the BJP has shown a lot of activism in exposing corruption in the UPA government in front of the country and its people.

He suggested that if Jethmalani has any suggestions to make the party more active on some issues, he is free to do so to the BJP President.

Prasad said BJP will organise a nation wide agitation on May 31 to protest against the hike in petroleum prices by the UPA government.
