BJP today said it does not believe in dividing party workers on caste or religious lines and that its government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has through impartial work proved its detractors wrong.

"BJP never sees people through Hindu or Muslim glasses. We see everyone equally. It is right that the brigade that was doing propaganda against us ahead of elections that Narendra Modi's government will not prove good for minorities, are today hiding.

"This government through its work has proved them wrong. They feel the way they had created a fear psychosis among minorities, this one year has been of communal harmony. There may have been some statements, but through the work done by this government no one can say that it is working in favour or against any one," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.

He said the Prime Minister meets many people and he does not meet them after asking their caste or religion.

"The Prime Minister's glasses does not see any Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian. He meets all irrespective of their religion. He believes in 'sabka saath, sabka vikas'," he said.

Rubbishing reports about new members from the minority communities, he said BJP makes its members neither on caste basis nor on religion basis.

"How many Muslims have become members of BJP, the party has not disclosed," he said, adding that the party neither inducts any member on the basis of caste and religion nor believes in such practice.
