The president of East Singhbhum district committee of BJP, Raj Kumar Srivastav has tendered his resignation today.
"I have submitted the resignation to the state unit president Ravindra Rai," Srivastav said.
He was first elected president of the district committee in 2011 and continued his second term but was asked to resign at a time when the state assembly election was due in next couple of months.
