BJP today expelled senior party leader Baldev Raj Sharma from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect for going against the decision of the party's leadership.
"BJP state unit chief and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, in consultation with party high command, has taken the decision to expel Baldev Raj Sharma from primary membership of party with immediate effect," a party spokesman said here.
He said the decision was taken as he was contesting against official candidate of the party from Reasi Assembly seat.
"It is also clarified that any party worker or leader associating himself with Baldev Raj Sharma will also be dealt sternly," the spokesman said.
