BJP will seek to corner Delhi government on a range of issues, including law and order situation, hike in power and water tariff and delay in regularisation of unauthorised colonies during the budget session of Delhi assembly beginning on Wednesday.
Leader of the opposition V K Malhotra said the party will raise the issue of women's safety and alleged Delhi government has done nothing on its part to address the issue.
He said BJP has already given a notice for a discussion on "deteriorating" law and order situation in the city.
"We have also given notices for a discussion on hike in electricity and water tarrif," he said.
Describing Delhi government as an "epitome of corruption" Malhotra said a BJP legislative party meeting today finalised the party's strategy for the budget session.
The party has also decided to raise the issue of "failure" of the government to make Yamuna pollution-free inspite of spending over Rs 3500 crore in the last few years, said Malhotra.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel today welcomed scores of activists who arrived in the city after a week-long foot march from Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.
The activists had started the march to demand immediate steps to rid the Yamuna of pollution.
"When BJP comes to power, its first priority will be to clean the Yamuna," said Goel.
