BJP today demanded a thorough probe into the source of foreign funding of Aam Admi Party and alleged that Arvind Kejriwal was working in collusion with Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections.

"AAP is a front of the Congress. It has helped Congress not once but several times. As for the funding of AAP, our senior leader V K Malhotra has already said the issue should be probed," BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said.

She sought to know how two ministers had given clean chit to AAP even before investigations to find out the source of their funding.

"It is the job of the Enforcement Directorate to find out the source of AAP's funding. Before any foreign funds are accepted, the permission of the government is required. Political parties cannot take foreign funds as per rules under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA)," Lekhi said.

BJP alleged a cover-up by both Congress and AAP to prevent any expose of the links between them.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy alleged that no detail of the source of foreign funds to AAP has been put on the party's website. "This shows there are anomalies and the matter should be probed," he said.
