MDMK, which is in alliance with BJP in Tamil Nadu, today said the front would achieve "unexpected victory" in Tamil Nadu in the April 24 Lok Sabha polls.

Talking to newsmen here today, MDMK leader Vaiko said BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi always respected the federal set up of the nation.

DMK and AIADMK had helped the national parties to form government in the past. People had been choosing either of them so far.

Now people should choose an alternate at the national level and also at the state level, he said.
