Accusing the BJP governments at the Centre and state of "deceiving" the community, Jaat Mahasabha leaders today said reservation is the right of the community and they will fight for it.

Speaking at Jaat Mahasammelan held here, National President Pawanjeet Banwala today stated that only four castes, including Jaats, in the state are not a part of the reservation list.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP leaders had made tall promises and claimed to be well-wishers of the Jaats but the party later changed colours and started working against the community, he said.

Banwala dared the BJP to contest the upcoming Panchayat polls in the state on the party sign, saying the party will be shaken to its foundations in the state.

A demonstration was also carried out in the city after the Mahasammelan in which the participants burnt an effigy of the BJP.
