In a statement here, the Congress leader said the farmers were being forced to sell the produce at throw-away prices, and middlemen were "playing with their fate".
The state government, which could not provide fertilisers, electricity, water and seeds earlier, was now unable to buy what the farmers had produced, he added.
Also, there was a shortage of bags for storing the wheat, and the BJP government was blaming the Centre for this, he said. PTI AS KRK
