Former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today accused the BJP government in Haryana of following an "anti-Dalit" policy in the state.

Addressing a Dalit panchayat in Saha Village near Ambala Cantt, he alleged that the incidents of atrocities against Dalits have gone up in the BJP government's regime in the state.

Hooda said that the Congress will launch an agitation against the alleged "anti-Dalit" policy of the BJP-led government in the state.

"The previous Congress government had started a number of welfare schemes for Dalits. But after the BJP government came to power, it stopped all such schemes," Hooda claimed.

Former Haryana Congress chief Phool Chand Mulana, former ministers Geeta Bhukkal and Nirmal Singh were also present.
