Hitting back at Congress for accusing the Narendra Modi government of doing nothing in the last two years, BJP president Amit Shah today said his party has given a decisive and corruption-free government to the country.

"In the two years of Narendra Modi government, the BJP has given a decisive government to the country. Congress leaders are touring the country and asking what you (BJP) have achieved in last two years...We would like to tell them that we have given a Prime Minister, who speaks, which you did not give in your (UPA's) ten years rule," Shah said while addressing party Workers here this evening.

"(Earlier), People would long for the Prime Minister (former PM Manmohan Singh) to speak. But, his (Singh) place to speak was only at 10 Janpath...He remained silent," he said.

"We have given a Prime Minister (Narendra Modi), who not only speaks on each and every problem of the country, but also works on resolving them. That is the decisive government BJP has given to the country," Shah said to thunderous applause from the party workers.

During the ten years of UPA rule, every month one or the other scam and scandal used to come out and under the UPA government, scams, scandals and corruption to the tune of Rs 12 lakh crore took place. In the whole world, corruption had reached its peak in our country during UPA's rule. The country's border was not safe. After independence, the country's esteem was on the decline, he alleged.

"However, our opponents were not able to level any allegation of corruption against the Modi government. We have been able to give a corruption-free government in the last two years," he said.
