Former Mayor of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Jyoti Khandelwal today alleged that civic amenities of the Pink City have deteriorated in last six months since BJP corporators took over its reign.

"In last six months of BJP rule, JMC is on ventilator as it failed to meet the needs of public, specially repair of street lights, road and cleaning of sewer connections which were either blocked or overflowing in the walled city," Khandelwal said here.

She also alleged that JMC had called only two General Body meeting of its corporators including those of Congress party and not calling it anymore.

The former Congress Mayor alleged that civic works approved under the previous JMC were stopped without any specific reason.

She said "high-handedness and corruption" was prevalent in JMC and public grievances were not addressed within time limit.

She alleged that BJP led JMC was exploiting the sanitation workers and temporary employees were not given Provident Fund and health insurance benefits.

The former Mayor also accused that "illegal construction of houses and buildings flouting JMC norms" were coming up in urban areas.
