The momentum in the past 15 days is clearly in favour of the BJP which is heading for a clear majority in the May 12 assembly polls, party Rajya Sabha member Rajeev Chandrasekhar claimed today.
He disagreed with pre-poll surveys which have predicted a hung assembly with BJP falling short of clear majority.
Chandrasekhar claimed that the graph of party's chances of winning was moving upwards and Congress' downwards after each public rally by chief minister Siddaramaiah and Congress president Rahul Gandhi. " " " " The MP said there was no room for a hung assembly as people were "bright enough" to know the consequences of a fractured mandate. " " " "....people of Karnataka also will reject coalition government. They want clean and stable government, and rescue people from this corrupt Siddaramaiah government," he said. " " "
Chandrasekhar said BJP was heading for a clear majority noting that B S Yeddyurappa was able to pull off victory in the 2008 assembly polls in "pre-Modi days" itself. " "
"...With Prime Minister Narendra Modi holding rallies, the next ten days is certainly going to boost the party's electoral prospects," he added.
