Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Rameshwar Dudi today accused BJP of "herding" its MLAs ahead of the Rajya Sabha election on June 11.

He alleged that the BJP has started herding its MLAs to avoid cross voting in the elections.

Dudi claimed the non-BJP MLAs would vote for the Independent candidate Kama Morarka.

"The non-BJP legislators will vote for Morarka because the people of the state want the BJP to get a jolt as the government is ignoring the interests of all sections of the society," Dudi said.

Polling for the four Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan will be held on June 11 as none of the candidate withdrew their nomination on the last date of form withdrawal yesterday.

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, party vice president Om Prakash Mathur, former RBI official Ramkumar Sharma and member of erstwhile Dungarpur royal family Harsh Vardhan Singh are the BJP nominees for the Rajya Sabha seats.

Former union minister Kamal Morarka has also filed his nomination as an Independent candidate.
