Hitting back at Trinamool Congress over allegations of misuse of CBI, BJP today said the real worry for the Mamata Banerjee-led party was the fallout of the Saradha chit fund scam after the main accused "sing" before the investigation agency.

"TMC senior members are under arrest or being questioned by the central agency for their involvement in the Saradha ponzi scheme scam. The question BJP would like to ask Mamata Banerjee is why is she portraying TMC a victim of BJP sponsored conspiracy?...The larger question in your mind is 'if he sings to CBI then what will happen'?" the BJP said.

BJP secretary Siddharth Nath Singh said in a statement that state minister Madan Mitra is close to Banerjee and Sudipto Sen and knows enough on Saradha scam.

He said the CBI probe was ordered by the Supreme Court when BJP was not in power. "In order to divert the scam issue you are doubting the investigation and casting aspersion on the apex court," he said.

Singh also questioned the Left and the Congress for supporting the TMC in Parliament.

"Is it not true that Communist approach is a reflection of their goodbye to ideology and convergence of survival? Congress being confused is unable to decide which way they need to go? Their test would come on the floor of Rajya Sabha when the insurance bill is presented for passing," he said.

He further said it was unfortunate that when important bills were to be taken up in Parliament, it was not being allowed to function.
