A joint delegation of the two allies handed over a memorandum in this regard to the Deputy Commissioner here.

"We have raised a demand for a CBI probe as the possibility of involvement of politicians and bureaucrats in the crime cannot be ruled out," Kusum Sharma, president of the women cell of HJC, said.

Following a complaint by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the operator of Bharat Vikas Sangh, the NGO that runs the protection home at Sri Nagar locality in the city, was arrested.

The NCPCR has also issued summons to Rohtak deputy commissioner and other officers in connection with the allegations.

In its communique to Rohtak deputy commissioner, the Commission sought to know why officials failed to act against allegations of child abuse and immoral trafficking at the shelter home.
