Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh today charged the BJP with not allowing discussion in Parliament on issues of public interest as it was disinterested in the welfare of poor people and farmers.
"I have always maintained that the BJP has no interest in farmers, labourers and the poor because of which it always tries to stall proceedings in Parliament," Digvijay told reporters at the Raja Bhoj airport here.
It was strange that the BJP did not want a discussion on the falling value of rupee which would give it an opportunity to make suggestions on the issue, he said.
