BJP leader held in Agra for provocative remarks

BJP leader Kundanika Sharma was today arrested for allegedly making a provocative speech at the condolence meeting of VHP leader Arun Mahaur.

After her medical examination, Sharma was presented before the judicial magistrate at civil court at around 5 PM. She was granted interim bail till April 2.

Hundreds of BJP supporters gathered at the court premises and shouted slogans. Police force was also deployed at the court.

Circle Officer Manisha Singh said Sharma has been granted bail.

40-year-old Mahaur was shot dead last month by unidentified assailants while he was on his way to a temple at Meera Hussaini crossing in Agra.
